Description
- Full Text
The C.P.R. Steamer Athabaska ran upon a smooth sloping rock near Cove Island last week during a heavy fog. Messengers were sent to Tobermorey where a boat was secured which took the passengers (some 75 persons) to Owen Sound. The vessel was laden with 30,000 bushels wheat, part of which was thrown overboard. The boat was released from her perilous condition some days after with the assistance of a tug, and arrived at Owen Sound on Monday last none the worse.
