Description
- Full Text
On Saturday last Mr. Bliss of the Traverston mills left that place with horse and buggy accompanied by Ed. Darcy, mail carrier, and while crossing the bridge near the mill the horse shied at the west end where the railing was off the bridge, going right over into the stream. Both men sprang from the rig and thus narrowly escaped a watery grave but the horse was drowned. It is a severe loss to Mr. Bliss as the animal was valued at $150. We understand Mr. B. will ask the township for damages.
