The service is at 2:30 p.m, and guest speaker is Rev, Hill from Columbus and special music will be supplied by the Senior Citizens of Port Perry. } - Church Board members are reminded of the meeting at Epsom Church on Thurs- day October 30th at 8 p.m. There -were 13 tables of euchre held at the Hall on Friday evening 'with lucky winners being Ladjes 1. Ruby Tripp 2. Helen Goslin and low Daisy Sellars. Men 1. Ruth Beach, 2. Hardy Noble and low to Wm. Carne- gie. Freeze-out winners were Grace Hockley and Vivian Rodd with Elsie Taylor and Bea Harrison coming insecond. There will be another euchre in two weeks time. Recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Eric Carre and Blackstock | by Joyce Kelly The pace in our area over the past weekend has really been hectic with many, many activities. - On Friday evening the High School Sadie Hawkins Dance was held in the Recreation Centre. On Saturday the United Church Auction was held in the Malmont Sales Arena and then in the even- ing Jean and Carl Adams presented a delightful slide show, A Holiday to Europe in the United Church C.E. - "Room. Meanwhile at the Rec Centre the O:N.O. Club annual : Hallowe'en Dance was held. All of these events were 'great successes. It looks as if the activities will speed up. Registration for Figure Skating Lessons will be held on Oct. 27th at 4-7:30 at the arena. Classes will be commencing - the following Wednesday, November 5 from 4-7:30 and will be held every Wednesday thereaft- er. For further information -call 986-5215. Curling will be starting also -next week. There are still openings so for further information call either 986-4257 or 986-4217. On November 10 the mobile curling supply man will be at the Blackstock Arena at 7 p.m. He carries brooms,- sliders, sweaters, slacks, etc. and will have them there to buy that night... Any curlers men or ladies inter- ested are advised to be there then to get their supplies. Cheryl stayed for the rest of the weekend. She and Elizabeth renewed their English trip highlights. On Sunday after- noon Gerald and Joyce, Eliz- abeth and Cheryl attended a reunion of British Exchange girls and leaders held in Guide House, Oshawa. A dinner party was held in their honour at Crandells Riverboat on Saturday even- ing with guests from London, Toronto, Uxbridge, Oshawa, Whitby, and Brockville. A committee was set up to arrange for a beef supper at Utica on November 27th to raise money for the church. A contest on trees was con- ducted by Jean Jeffery and Group 2 served a most delic- ious lunch. The next meeting will be held in Utica Church on November 14th.
