On Saturday the United Church Auction was held in the Malmont Sales Arena and then in the even- ing Jean and Carl Adams presented a delightful slide show, A Holiday to Europe in the United Church C.E. - "Room. Meanwhile at the Rec Centre the O:N.O. Club annual : Hallowe'en Dance was held. All of these events were 'great successes. It looks as if the activities will speed up. Registration for Figure Skating Lessons will be held on Oct. 27th at 4-7:30 at the arena. Classes will be commencing - the following Wednesday, November 5 from 4-7:30 and will be held every Wednesday thereaft- er. For further information -call 986-5215. Curling will be starting also -next week. There are still openings so for further information call either 986-4257 or 986-4217. On November 10 the mobile curling supply man will be at the Blackstock Arena at 7 p.m. He carries brooms,- sliders, sweaters, slacks, etc. and will have them there to buy that night...
