It is said to be the market of nine' well--settled townships, and bas a populu-' tion of 800 persons. I Mr. Stratton--From Michael O'Brien | and 169 other citizens of Peterboro', asking ! for the $600 exemption ; also from the Central Canada Loan & Savings Co., of On-- ' tario, asking for confirmation of agreement with the Peterboro' Real Estate Investment Co. (limited), for the purchase of all the assets of the last--mentioned Company; also for powers to issue debenture stock;: also from Peterborough County Council,ask-- ing to have the Assessment Act so amended as to enable the real property of railways to be assessed at cash value.
