Royal Canadian Legion Branch 120 Youth Education Chair Marjorie Tutty (centre) honoured the accomplishments of local students Colleen Connolly of St. Francis of Assisi School, (left) and Sam Gilgallan of Georgetown District High School on their accomplishments in the Legion poetry and poster competition at the District B level. Connolly received a first place in the intermediate poetry category, while Gilgallan won a third in the intermediate coloured poster division. Other local students Lorraine Pyk and Rachael Sherk of Pineview Public School and Vanessa Develter of Silver Creek Public School also won recognition at District B level.
