ACCIDENT. - A sad accident occurred at the Great Western railway station at Wellington Square at 9 o'clock on Monday evening, by which Mr. James Blount, a conductor on that line, met a terrible death. It appears that he was engaged in coupling cars at the station, when by some means he became entangled between them, and the cars coming together, he was crushed between the "duffers." Death was instantaneous. The deceased had left Toronto with a freight train at half-past five o'clock, and it was immediately after his arrival at Wellington Square that the accident occurred. He had been for a number of years in the employ of the Great Western, and was very popular with all who knew him. He was unmarried, and was about 35 years of age. His home was in Hamilton, to which place the body was removed for interment.
