OBITUARY. - It is our most sorrowful duty to-day to announce the death of Mr. Malcolm Kennedy, one of the first settlers of this village, and one with whom nearly every resident of this vicinity was acquainted, which took place yesterday afternoon. Mr. Kennedy had been ailing for several weeks, and was taken worse on Tuesday. He was a native of Invernesshire, Scotland, where he was born in 1807. He came to Canada about 35 years ago, and settled here, working at his trade, stone mason, until a few years ago. For several years, owing to his advanced age, and dimness of vision, he has been almost continually confined to the house. Mr. Kennedy was respected by all who were acquainted with him, and his family will have the warmest sympathy of the entire community in their heavy affliction. The family lose a kind husband and father, and the community a warm friend.
