night when friends and former pupils of frank m chap man gathered to present him with a purse of money a penaridpencil set and a scroll containing the names of many of his former pupils fellow school trustees and present pupils of the school starting his educational life in the audley school mr chapman returned to become teacher and later a school trustee one of his early pupils was his brother miles s chapman who was also present saturday night now in his soui year mr chap man has served on the school board for 27 years 16 of them as secretary treasurer retiring last year he was at one time a report er then editor of a well known farm journal but his love for the land brought him back to the scene of his birth active in the canadian jersey breeders association mr chap man is past president of pickering rotary club and past master of doric lodge afam a member of audley community club and served in many oflices of picker ing united church in recent years he has been known as a
