mr mccarty jerked him self free while his clothes were ripped from his body and wound tightly around the shaft the force of pull exerted by the pulley lifted mr mccarty off bis feet and only his tight grip on the blower turn ingwheel saved him from death mr henry michell of markham the operator of the threshing machine was working nearby when the accident occurred and he immediately called for help however before the machine could be stopped mr mccarty had freed himself dr r m pilkey of mark ham arrived on the scene to administer treatment to many burns and bruises on the legs of the sth
