uxbridge township it will be one of the 15 stations in the bell telephones new communications skyway linking buffalo toronto ottawa and montreal the station will include a one- storoy radio equipment building and an open steel tower support ing four hornshaped antennae the building is under construction now and the tower which will be about 50 feet high will be erected late this year the entire system is scheduled to be ready next spring initially it will provide 60 additional tele phone circuits between toronto and montreal 12 between toronto and ottawa and 12 between mon treal and ottawa it will also relay network television programs w for the canadian broadcasting corporation as called for in a contract with the cbc bell will provide net work facilities to relay whatever united states television programs the cbc requires from buffalo for telecasting in toronto and mon treal and also to relay cbc pro grams from toronto to montreal in addition when the cbc re quires it a westbound channel will be equipped to relay programs from montreal to toronto a a gillespie boll telephone manager for this region explained that residents along the route will not be able to tune in the tv programs directly because the net work itself is not capable of tele casting programs the telephone calls and television programs will be transmitted in a narrow beam from tower to tower at
