requesting the de partment of highways to approve of an additional expenditure on township roads of 5000 when the appropriation bylaw was passed early in the year the huge expen diture for snow removal were un known and since it amounted to 20000 it more than melted away half the appropriation of 35000 for 1947 tenders were opened at this meet- inging for positions as constables at the two township lakes herbert beach was named in the bylaw for muselmans lake and ivan pat- tenden for wilcox both applicants had asked for ear mileage but council refused this and will pay each cop an allowance of 5 month ly for car use tenders were opened for collect ing garbage at wilcox and mussel- mans three ofrers for each lake which was said to be the best re sponse to the invitation for
