timbers 15 4 norman watson 15 3 billie thomas 15 2 and melvin tapscott 16 1 died at unionville mrs v wagg was buried at goodwood the funeral service for sarah ann robinson beloved wife of the late vincentwagg and a resident of unionville for 31 years was held at her residence in unionvule on tuesday nov 6 rev h d mccor- niack assisted by rev b e newn- ham conducted the service mrs wgg was born in pickering tovnhip and was thediughter of mr and mrs thos robinson after her marriage to mr vincent v they lived for a number of years on the wagg homestead on the 3rd concession of uxbridge after which they moved to the 6th concession of markham in 1914 they sold their farm and became residents of u- ionville they were active members of the central methodist church before church union and of the united church afterwards of a genial and frendly disposition mrs wagg wil be greatly missed bv her family and a large circle of friends and rela tives she died at the private patients pavilion of the toronto general hospital on saturday nov 3rd hit late husband predeceased her 18 years surviving are two sons victor and dr a bwagg and two daughters mrs a l brown mabel and mrs edward bewell home of mrs jas mccreight prior to leaving for their new home in midland mr and mrs bill fry visited last week at the home of mrs frys parents mr and mrs o peacock miss grace lehman of altona held a piano recital at her home lasi saturday a very pleasant time was enjoyed by the numerous guests as they listened to the rendition ot delightful piano solos and duets all of which reflected much credit on the painstaking efforts of their teacher lehman and her mother served dainty refreshments at the close of the recital those from this community who contri buted to theprogram were barbara mccreight isobel mccreight mar garet- townsend and shirley jones mr ross townsend accompanied some friendson a motor trip last sunday to madoc where he is spending a few days renewing old acquaintances dickson was held- in connection with the teach ers meeting on friday afternoon at our dicksons hiu school a couple of our high school boys celebrated exams over with an aeroplane ride last week miss mary grove entertained a number of young people at her home on halloween night interest ing prizes were won but the grand prizea tin of sardines was carried off- by clifford schell everyone agreed it was a perfectly sweu cele bration mrs clarence mcdowell and jim spent tuesday afternoon with her mother mrs roy moyer a number from this- community were present at the shower given in honour of mis ella wideman and mr elmer grove on monday night mr albert reesor presided over an interesting program after which many beautiful gifts and good wishes were received almira on thursday evening last about twentyfive neighbors gathered at the home of mr and mrs mansell timbers as a return party of their chivaree which took place the week before the evening was spent in playing crokinole after which mr and mrs timbers were presented with a beautiful end table the almira chopping mill is again in running order and our miller mr maltbywill now be able to take care of the farmers as they come with
