saturday afternoon several of mrs roy irwins former fellow workers motored from toron to last tuesday evening to charivari our newest married couple the pupils of lemonville school are planning to entertain their par ents and friends at a picnic on the school grounds on the evening of tuesday june 29 we are aiming to have a potluck supper served picnic style at six pm this to be followed by games and races for the children a ball game between the pupils of our section and neighboring section then a short program in the school come along bring your picnic basket and enjoy an evening with george anthony of whitevale are visiting at the home of their daughter mr and mrs bert lewis we are sorry that mrs lewis has been under the doctors care but is feeling some better guests with mr and mrs john pallister on sunday were mr and mrs leonard cox port whitby mr and mrs wm wilson stouffville mr and mrs isaac lehman altona and mrs loyst of claremont park mrs e forsyth called on mrs r dafoe columbia safely we all wish him good luck mr jas crobbland is progressing favorably after having undergone a serious operation in toronto general hospital we join in wishing him a speedy recoveiy to good health miss julia wilson is being honored on saturday june 26 when her mo ther mrs j e wilson is enter taining at a trousbeau tea in her honor the wedding will take place in late july sympathy is extended to mrs her bert percy in the sudden death of her cousin mr walter rawson in toronto last thursday mr rawson very often paid extended visits with herb and mrs percy and their fam ily and made jacksons point where she will spend the summer mr and mrs metro sudayko of toronto had supper on sunday with mr and mrs whitney johnson mr and mrs earl goforth of birchcliff visited on saturday with their aunt mrs harry bennett mrs wallace bond patsy shirley and betty motored to camp borden with friends last sunday to visit pte wallace bond we are sorry to hear that mr howard doner has been shutin with chicken pox apparently chicken pox are spreading through several of the local schools mrs allan hoover david keith and ewart had sunday dinner with mr and mrscbolender of bethesda this thursday misses blanche hoover and betty farmer are leav ing to spend the summer as waitress es at keswick friends of mr e hunt are gad to see him able to be up and out again after his recent
