upon them and is as follows agreeably to the words of our saviour in matthew 18 and 19 at our prayer meeting held in the chapel on the fourth of august 1864 we agreed together to ask god to grant prosperity to the prayer meet ing hence we had for a special sub ject of prayer aug 11 that god would bless our prayer meetings aug is that god would bless the preaching of the word in this church and neighborhood aug 25 that god would grant the spirit of prayer and the grace of supplication sept 1 that god would hear our united prayers while we again supplicate for a blessing upon the prayer meeting septs that god would hear prayer for those who worship with us but are unconverted sept 15 for the success of the ministry of the church- you will note that this special season of prayer took place about the close of the six years of spirit ual famine 1865 on april 25 1890 a unanimous call was extended to e j harris an earnest active servant of the master and whose labors were abundantly
