This year I seriously considered running again for mayor as many people encour- aged me to do so, but I decided against it for personal reasons. However, I urge all voters to get to know all the candidates. 1 know from experience that they would be glad to hear from you. Pick their brains, tell them what you think of their ideas, and what you would likerto see happen in the next four years. , , 1,, _ AL- -AQAâ€" Log “In (1". m “I Iv "‘7‘.-- _c Tell the mayoral candidates you want accountability from the region. Are we get- ting our money’s worth? More often than not, the Region of York spends all the money on our southern municipalities. We want more of our money spent here. The mayor must be experienced, must have business knowledge, and should not dance to the developers’ tune. It is the mayor and council who spend our money and they are very careful as to how they spend it. They should be very careful how the region spends our money too. I believe that Whitchurch-Stouffville should have more than one representative on regional council. What can one vote do for us, amongst all the other representa- tives who want more for their own municipalities? We are not getting our money’s worth, we are being kept in the dark and it is up to our elected representatives to be a voice for us all. When you vote on Nov. 13, consider vx not just the fall clean-up.
