In addition to the stuntdriving charge, the man who was clocked on Rutherford Road just west of Hwy. 27 on Friday, Oct. 14 - was charged with speeding and seatbelt-related offices. He also had his licence suspended and his vehicle impounded for seven days. In all, York Regional Police charged 15 drivers with stunt driving and speeding over a four-day period between Thursday, Oct. 13 and Sunday, Oct. 16. Police also stopped a vehicle going 118 km/h in a 60 km/h zone, on Rutherford Road just west of Hwy. 27 on Sunday at 8 a.m. The officer discovered the driver had his licence back just six days after a previous stunt-driving suspension. That driver was again charged with stunt driving as well as speeding and had his vehicle impounded for seven days.
