Matt Eizinga, 15, and Brent Menzies, 16, were members of the Kitchener-Waterloo Braves playing in an elimination tournament in Napanee during the Canada Day weekend. Eizinga and Menzies played an integral role in helping the Braves secure their position at the nationals when they defeated Shallow Lake 6-4 in three extra innings. To reach that game, the Braves defeated Cobourg 4-0 in their first game before losing to Belmont 1-0, but rebounding to defeat Ivanhoe 5-4.
