The town's asking you not to waste water. The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville -- in conjunction with York Region -- is asking residents and business owners to conserve their water use for the next few weeks while the weather remains hot and dry. Annual water restrictions are in effect from May 15 to Sept. 30. Chill out in splash pads, cooling centres You can cool off in town pools, splash pads, wading pools, and designated cooling centres during extreme heat conditions. The cooling locations in Whitchurch-Stouffville are: · The Stouffville Clippers Sports Complex, 120 Weldon Rd., Stouffville. · Municipal Offices (Town Hall), 111 Sandiford Dr., Stouffville. · The Whitchurch-Stouffville Leisure Centre and Public Library, 2 Park Drive, Stouffville ·The Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum and Community Centre, 14732 Woodbine Ave., Vandorf The following community parks have splash pads or wading pools: · Sunnyridge Neighbourhood Park, Sunny Ridge and Hoover Park Dr. · Madori Neighbourhood Park, Millard St. and Winlane Dr. · Wheler's Neighbourhood Park, Hoover Park Dr. and Mostar St. · Byer's Pond Park, Byer's Pond Way and Hoover Park Dr. · Greenwoord Parkette, Greenwood Rd. and Alderwood St. bylaw enforcement Addresses with even numbers are permitted to use water outdoors on even numbered days of the month, while addresses with odd numbers are permitted to use water outdoors on odd numbered days of the month. Regardless, outdoor water use is only permitted between six to 10 a.m. and six to 10 p.m. Restrictions will be enforced by bylaw officers.
