32 Stouffville Sun-Tribune | Thursday, March 10, 2016 | Fletcher running kids' camp Jim Fletcher, former long-time teacher and coach at Stouffville District Secondary School, will run his March Break Madness sports camp at Glad Park Public School. To run from March 14 to 18, the camp is open to boys and girls between the ages of seven to 14. A variety of sports will be offered including: basketball, volleyball, soccer, floor hockey and handball. Participants will receive a free T-shirt. As well, a variety of awards will be given out. For registration information, contact Fletcher at 905 649-7618 or e-mail him at: fletchysports@gmail.com Caggiula shines for UND Former Stouffville Spirit forward Drake Caggiula scored the game-winning goal in the University of North Dakota's 5-4 win over visiting University of Western Michigan in the club's regular season finale in Grand Forks, N.D. Saturday. Currently in his senior year and playing the game on Senior Night, Caggiula's game-winning marker occurred while on the power play in the third period. In addition to scoring a goal, Caggiula had an assist to help the second-ranked North Dakota finish their regular season with a 28-5-3 record and 19-4-1 conference mark. One day earlier, Caggiula recorded one assist in an 8-1 rout of Western Michigan enabling them to clinch the NCHC championship. Caggiula finished the year with 39 points. North Dakota will face Colorado Col- lege in a best-of-three NCHC quarter-final match-up in Grand Forks starting Friday. Spirit grad and Stouffville resident Chris Porter collected one assist in American International College's 3-2 win over Army in their Atlantic Hockey Championship Tournament at West Point, N.Y. Saturday. The win enabled AIC to stave off elimination for one day before they suffered a 4-0 loss to Army in the third and deciding game Sunday. Porter served as AIC's captain and was in his senior year this season.
