Wendy uses encaustic paint, an ancient medium which consists of pigment mixed with beeswax. In recent years it has found favour again with artists and collectors. “Today’ 5 use of the medium 15 less traditional, as it lends itself well to mark- -making and texture, "she noted “I like encaustic because it allows me to create tension in my paintings.
