Ms Hilton hoped more of Rupert Avenue was going to be ï¬xed, in particular from Ninth But because the town did not receive government funding, it had to dip into its capital works budget so at least a portion of the road was ï¬xed. “It would have made sense to do it all at once. but it wasn't in the budget," Ms Hilton said, add- ing the rest of Rupert Avenue will likely be reconstructed next year. What will be done this year between Westlawn Crescent and Ninth Line is urbanization of the street with gutters, storm sewers and new concrete curbs that will act as traffic calmers. “It’s a visual reminder to slow down," Ms Hilton said.
