Acquired during the offseason from the Peterborough Stars by the Stouffville Spirit and named captain to start the Central Canadian Hockey league season, Forfar unexpectedly left the club last Saturday and has requested a trade. Acknowledging he was taken a bit off- guard by Forfar’s sudden decision, Spirit general manager Kenny Burrows said the former Spirit captain wished to leave the club for several reasons. They included disappointment in the amount of ice time he was receiving and the direction the team was going. “It happens, you always get one or two players that are unhappy during the course of a year," Burrows said. 7 A Burrows is trying to oblige with the 19- year-old Mount Albert resident’s wishes, but would like to get a player of his calibre in exchange. In 28 games this season, Forfar had 10 goals and seven assists “It sounds like he wants to go out west and I talked with two teams from out there, but they either wanted to give me futures or cash and I said no,†Burrows said yesterday.
