Wtchurch-Stouflirille Fire and Emergency Servic- es is now equipped to deal with family pets rescued from a ï¬re and in need of oxygen. “The specialized pet masks assist pets by pro- viding an eflicient stream of oxygen during a time of need," Dr. Jason Steinman of 'I‘hi , etwood Veterinary Hospi said. Pets get new help in emergencies from clinic Dr. Steinman recently provided the special masks to the department. The ahimal hospital is on Main Street in downtown Stouï¬ville. - The set contains three masks of varying sizes â€"â€" small, medium, large â€" to accommodate varying sizes of animals and has been placed on ï¬re trucks in the Ballantrae and Stouflvifle ï¬re stations. Earlier this year, Central York Fire Services in Newâ€" market and Aurora became the ï¬rst ï¬re department in York Region to have these masks on their ï¬re trucks.
