It shows both the nega- tiv'es and the positives," said Latcham Gallery curator Maura Broadhurst. The exhibition, which features art- works in a variety of different media, runs until Oct. 19. The gallery is hosting The Changing Face of York Region exhibition, which begins Saturday. The opening-day reception is on from 1 to 3 pm. “The region is going through quite a bit of changes,” said Ms Broadhurst. “We wanted work that would someâ€" how engage the viewer and (help them) reflect on something that might be familiar in their own lives." Ms Burke will be showcasing water- colour paintings and woodblock prints, carved from an ash tree. Artists were invited to make submis- sions to be considered for the show. The exhibition features five artists from across the region including two locals, Diana Bullock and Sandra Cole Burke.
