You really don’t need name brand stores. I wonder whefe all tHese customers are going to shop? The area where the playground and lawn bowling club are in Memorial Park will be turped int_o more parking. I recall reading in The Sun Tribune how business owners felt there wasn't adequate parking for customers, but I notice the parking lot next to the former tea shop in frorlt of the Letcharn Gallery. There is («i noté on the door stating I can place orders online. So much for trying to shop during store hours. When I get to'my desfinafion, the store is closqd. Everything is cleaned out. Walking from east to west along Main Street, I notice three or four stores that are closing or having moving sales. I think to myself, wouldn’t it be nice to get a fresh bag of tea leaves from Tempest in a Teapot? After a long harsh winter, I am finally able to take my daughter, who will be two in July, out for a walk in her stroller along Main Street. Uhm, by the way, how many do we need on Main Street? You have your pet étores, jewelry and clothing stores, a candle and tea shop and ice cream shops. You don’t heed Starbucks on Main Street when you have this shop. Plus, you can admiré thé artwork and catch up on the latest artsy items while sip- ping and dipping. Okay, Tempest in a Teapot, I thought was trendy. You had a variety of teas‘at your disposal and it didn’t compete with For The Love of Jo, where you can get your, specialty coffee and a cookie to dip in your coffee.
