NOTICE OF COUNCIL MEETINGS RECRUITMENT PUBLIC NOTICE The GTA/905 Healthcare Alliance promotes access to quality healthcare in rapidly growing regions in Ontario ‘by securing equitable hospital funding and establishing strategic partnerships to meet the needs of growing populations. Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) will be installed at the Silver Jubilee facility and Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum. Once built, AEDs will also bPinstalled at the new twin pad arena, Nineteen in the Park! facility and new operations centre. The Town’s six defibrillators were distributed by the Region of York on behalf of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. The (ETA/905 Healthcare Alliance presented Council with an overview of current health care access and funding issues facing high grthh communities in Ontario, including York Region. Administered correctly, AEDs help to re-establish contraction rhythms in a heart having dangerous arrhythmia or in cardiac arrest through therapeutic electricity. Permit parking will be established on Church Street South in the Community of Stouffville for a limited number of residents affected by the renovations of 19 Civic Avenue, the location of the Nineteen on the Park! facility. Baseball teams and the Lawn Bowling Club will be contacted to ensure that their members do not parking in the permit parking spots. The permit parking ceases upon the completion of the Nineteen on the Park! renovations. There will be an opportunity for the public to comment on the draft zoning by-law, which is anticipated to occur in October, 2008. Notice of public consultation opportunities will be published in the Town page and online at www.townofws.com. Council received a report on the status of the update to the Town’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law. The By-law will be updated to modernize zone standards and to ensure compliance with the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan. A substantial portion of the By-law has been developed in draft with elements to follow over the summer.
