Receiving the grant from the Ontario gov- emment’s Municipal Infrastructure Invest- ment Initiative means the town’s hydro reserves won’t have to be used, Marc Pour- vahidi, the town's treasurer said. The funds were to be used as a back-up in case the grant didn‘t come through. $930,000 grant for new arts centre The grant, along with community fund- raising and money for naming rights, should cover half the cost of the new centre. The other half is to be covered through funds from the town’s voluntary assistance agreement, development charges and park trust funds.
