BY JESSICA YOUNG Staff Writer York Region is expecting to save $2 million in the next seven years by shifting its recycled glass processing to a new plant in Brampton. “These savings in our waste management portfolio are both welcome and need- ed,” York Region chairperson Bill Fisch said. The savings are made pos- sible because they’ve nabbed a better market price com- pared to other areas, due to their agreement to, partner in the new glass facility, York’s diversion manager Mike Birett said.
