has aroused a feeling of disap pointment with parents in the former village of stouffville we too are disap pointed in the past two weeks peewee tryouts have been conducted in the park fortytwo boys turned out of the 42 fourteen or fifteen will be chosen to participate in the oasa play offs in 1971 under coach jack watson who in my opinion is the best in the area but what happens to the balance whitchurch twp in 1970 had a very suc cessful house league with the loss of the lake wilcox area to richmond hill under the new regional government re organization whit church has graciously invited us to form teams and participate we have accepted this invitation but coaches managers and helpers are needed in the past 2 weeks jack watson has spent eight evenings in the park working with these boys who want to play ball why because he wants to do everything he can to fulfill their wishes also we have promised them there would be a team or teams playing in whitchurch but we cant do it alone all efforts to date to muster up assistance has failed the peewee oasa team requires three nights per week two games and one practice time then does not permit us to keep our promises to the other boys we will and want to help organize the minor softball in stouffville but we need help it requires approximately 4 adults per team to cope with the holidays and other committments of the midget practice stouffville positions are still open on stouffvilles oasa midget team with workouts every wednesday at 830 pm a club meeting is scheduled for the town park on thursday tonight at 630 pni
