plans were developed following extensive consultation with residents interviews with key stakeholders and a detailed examination of existing plans and initiatives such as the downtown strategic plan of action and downtown parking and circulation study the master plans help to meet the towns growing outdoor recreational needs enhance natural and built heritage features and incorporate the appropriate infrastructure to support their use within existing and planned development including the park drive extension in memorial park it is anticipated that the first phase of the redevelopment of memorial park will commence in 2008 with the rede velopment of civic square as an urban plaza including a water feature and site furnishings the first phase of the bethesda park development is also
