stouffville suntribune thursday sept 30 2004 17 schools corporations help set terry fox record terry fox would have been proud more than 760 people took to the streets in stouffville for the terry fox run sept 19 bringing in just over 55000 that means stouffville has raised more than 500000 for cancer research and patient support over the past 23 years last year the run raised almost as much 54708 seventy people volunteered before and during this years run more corporations took up the challenge this year including anderson haulage grey power insurance tim hortons schell lumber town of whitchurchstouffville the whitchurchstbuffville library stouffville dance centre a p tree o marketing inc and industrial roofing in addition several schools throughout stouffville held their own terry fox runs last week money raised by schools and other events are in addition to the 500000 raised at the terry fox runs students from glad park surhmitview and our town with hannelore volpe leading the way in the fight against muscular dystrophy your firefighters are our modem day champions whether theyre protecting lives and property or raising funds in the battle against muscular dystrophy and
