or perma nent water irrigation system for the purpose of watering any lawn garden or the washing of vehicles sidewalks or driveways or the filing of swimming pools except as follows a an even numbered address may use water outdoors only on even numbered days of the month b an odd numbered address may use water outdoors only on odd numbered days of the month c outdoor water use is only permitted between the hours of 600 am to 1000 am and 600pm to 1000pm this use of municipal water from a hose pipe sprinkler or perma nent water irrigation system outside these periods is a contravention of the bylaw d that these conditions be in place between may 15th and september 30th of each yean exemptions to these restrictions are provided in schedule a e section 2 stage 1 outdoor water use advisory 21 e f g where the director of water and wastewater of york region gives notice that a stage 1 outdoor water use advisory is declared all persons will be requested to refrain from using munidpal water from a hose pipe sprinkler or permanent irri ganon system for the purpose of watering lawns and gardens washing vehides sidewalks or driveways filling of swimming pools 22 exemptions to the stage 1 restrictions are provided in schedule a stage 2 outdoor water use ban 21 where the director of water and wastewater of york region gives notice that a stage 2 outdoor water use ban is dedared no person shall use munidpal water from ahose pipe sprinkler or permanent irrigation system for the purpose of e watering lawns and gardens f washing of vehides sidewalks or driveways g filling swimming pools schepulea exemptions and special cases exempted users 1 the provisions of the bylaw shall not apply to persons who owns operates or carries on the following operations which r ely on the steady supply and use of water a nurseries b all weather playing fields if failure to water will result in a per manent loss of plant material or adversely affect public safety c washing exterior building surfaces including windows park ing lots driveways or sidewalks prior to the application of a product such as paint preservative stucco or the preparation of a surface prior to paving or rejoining of bricks or if required by law to comply with health and safety regulations d commercial car washes and car dealerships e town operated recreational facilities f other uses as identified by the town from time to time all users 2 a person during a stage 1 advisory or stage 2 ban may water flowers shrubs tree or vegetables on days other than and induding their designated watering day provided the watering is done using a handheld container 3 a person may water new trees and shrubs during installation and for 24 hours following planting any subsequent watering must comply with the provisions of this bylaw 4 a person may water new sod or seed for up to one month fol lowing planting 5 a person may refill a backyard residential pool for maintaining the integrity of the filtering system warning
