transportation and class environmental assessment ea study to accommodate increasing traffic volumes in the vicinity of woodbine avenue yr 8 between 19th avenue and major mackenzie drive woodbine avenue is currently a regional twolane northsouth arterial road that bisects the hamlet of victoria square the study area generally encompasses the area from leslie street to the west warden avenue to the east 19th avenue to the north and major mackenzie drive to the south due to known constraints within the hamlet of victoria square a woodbine avenue bypass of the hamlet will be one of the alternative solutions evaluated as part of this study the study is being undertaken in accordance with the municipal class environmental assessment 2000 process for a schedule c project the class ea process includes public and review agency consultation an evaluation of alternatives an assessment of the impacts on the environment and identification of reasonable measures to mitigate any adverse impacts as part of the class ea planning process a public consultation centre pcc is being held to present the preliminary results to date including the need and justification for the project the recommended solution and the alternative design concepts under consideration for public comment attendees will have the opportunity to discuss their comments directly with earth tech canada and york region staff the pcc is scheduled for date tuesday december 3 2002 time 400 pm to 800 pm location victoria square community hall 2929 elgin mills road just west of woodbine avenue you are encouraged to attend the pcc and provide your comments so that they may be included in the study we are interested in hearing any comments or concerns that you may have about this project any comments received at the pcc will be considered in identifying the preferred solution following this the alternative design concepts will be evaluated for presentation at a second pcc to be held in 2003 the public will
