contestants miss vandenverg will also represent ontario at the canadian plowing match the 17yearold is the daughter of jannetta and philip vandenverg a grade 13 student at toronto christian high school in woodbridge miss vandenverg plans to enter univer sity next fall to study medicine with hopes of eventually becoming a doctor a member of the york region 4h club miss vandenverg is the president of the tractor safety plowing club three weeks ago she won the york region queen of the furrow competition held at the king family farm near stouffville miss vandenvergs crowning marks the first time in 34 years that a york region resident has been chosen queen of the furrow the ontario plowmans association is the host of the international plowing match york region plowmans association
