yorkdurham trunk sewer system master plan the master plan recommended a number of activities necessary to upgrade the yorkdurham trunk sewer to meet the long term needs of the region the region of york intends to construct the 9th line and 1 6th avenue trunk sewers as strategic components of the master plan implementation the trunk sewers proposed by york region are somewhat larger and deeper than those approved in the town of markhams class ea therefore york region is preparing an amendment to that class ea this project is being undertaken in accordance with the class environmental assessment for municipal water and wastewater projects opportunities for public input will be provided throughout the study and will include a public information centre and direct mailings to review agencies and members of the public indicating interest notification of the public information centre will be placed in the local newspapers upon completion of the study an amendment to the class ea will be prepared to document the planning process and the preferred solution including how the public input was received and considered the amendment will be available in york regional offices and local municipal offices for public viewing and comment all reasonable offers will be made to address environmental concerns expressed by the public over the course of the study this project please
