also handicapped kids blind people and others where the families just cant do it all said feasby who is confined to a wheel chair while funding for mobility transit has come from a combi nation of provincial grants con tributions from the town and fund raising the provinces share has been decreasing annually feasby said that makes this years golf tourna ment scheduled for june 10 at the maples of ballantrae that much more vital for the contin uation of services provincial cut backs have definitely hurt us that has kept mobility transit in business he attributes much of the success of the tourney to local resident john fazackerley whose company digital pro cessing systems inc has played a large role as corporate sponsor feasby heads up the annual tourney along with wilf morley jack burrows and drew knox wayne feasby is helping to organize this years mobility transit golf tournament before moving to new challenges the tournament committee is promoting this years event with mail outs to past partici pants while actively pursuing prize donors and corporate sponsors the cost for golfers is 135 which includes golf cart lunch and dinner and a chance to win some outstanding prizes for feasby who lives in town with his wife nancy and his daughter lara the decision to step down after five years on the mobility transit board of directors comes more out of a desire to move on then former teacher and now legislative assistant for an mpp public relations and media consultant john andersen of aurora and 53- year old allan duffy property manager and former mayor of richmond hill are all busy courting the pc associations 300 members the local tory candidate will be selected on march 24 at leparc at leslie street and highway 7 also the public can meet the pc candidates on march association has about 200 members peter devita local ndp riding president said the issues are clear jobs health care and poverty especially child poverty all three issues relate to income distribution said devita he added there is no reason for the present level of poverty to continue canada needs ndp represen tative in ottawa voters in oak ridges will view the ndp as a clear alter native said
