from toronto island airport to transport him to hospital the cowboy from scarborough refused treatment and according to rodeo sources was turned down from entering a hallfjurton rodeo on sunday because he had failed to receive medical clearance pikhosjoerd witteveen lions rodeo attracts 10000 people raises 9000 the claremont lions club can take a bow the 22member club hosted a twoday rodeo and dance over the weekend to attract close to 10000 peo ple to the toad hall site near stouffville while a final tally has not been done club officials expect the giant fundraiser generated about by a bull at a rodeo in north claremont on the weekend refused to be air lifted to a toronto hospital an event official told the tribune bill leggett owner of big l rodeos said although cowboy ray mccormick sustained a head injury during a bull riding compe tition he wouldnt let med ical officials take him to hospital in an air ambu lance mccormick regained con sciousness checked him self over and then refused to board the helicopter he got up and walked away said leggett the rodeo company owner is not however impressed with the cowboys actions we pay for the para- medics and yet this fellow refused to take the help said leggett why take the risk mccormick came head to head with the bull during the claremont lions clubs twoday rodeo held at barkeys toad hall near stouffville turned up to compete in a rodeo in haliburton he came to haliburton on sunday he was refused entry we heard he took himself to a hospital in minden said leggett benzene forces store closure water from
