capital of ontario regardless of mr thomass and the participants enthusiasm and hard work a few months ago we watched a half hour documen tary on a town in southwestern ontario which has a musical heritage they have large continuing festivals and have produced many successful singers bands and writers our thought at the time was stouffvilles claim to be music town was both presumptuous and embarrassing as you point out uxbridge and most other towns have a better basis for the designation our councils approval of the title reflects their tendency to often come to an emotional decision rather than one based on research and fact we think of stouffville as hav ing the friendliest people hav ing the best strawberries in ontario with a festival to prove it being famous for horses and equestrian events and being a golfers paradise were sure there are many other things the town is more famous for than music when there are continual musical events in stouffville which draw more people on weekends than the flea mar ket then the music town title may be appropriate the hutchins family stouffville tfimh holy trinity school because not all schools are the same back to basics
