yonge st 96t66ot iblocknorthofblwrm callous injustice dear editor recently a tragic and cruel in cidence occurred near this area through no fault of its own one of gods innocent creatures found itself lodged in a place which belonged to a particular woman while this person had actually been responsible for placing this creature there in the first place she later decided it was going to be a nuisance and wanted to get rid of it unfortunately the creature had become lodged in such a way as to make it very difficult to remove given a short period of time however the creature un doubtedly would have emerged on its own at which time it could have become a real source of joy to her or someone else who might have wanted it around nevertheless she was deter mined to be rid of it immediately even though there was no way to do that without destroying the creature and causing it tremen dous suffering so she consulted an expert who had removed many of these particular creatures in the past this expert informed her the creature was a little too big to be removed in the usual way that method involved simply cutting the creature into pieces while still alive crushing the head and sucking it out with a special kind of vacuum hose but since this creature was too big to cut in to pieces it would have to be kill ed another way before it could be removed the expert squirted a special chemical into the area where the creature had lodged until it was surrounded in a cor rosive liquid immediately the creatures skin began to burn it also ingested some of the poisonous liquid soon it was writhing in agony arid ex cruciating pain after several hours of this suffering the creature died and was removed this incident has upset me byond words does it upset you i hope so it is sheer callous in justice yet its certainly not an isolated incident for its happen ing all the time even the costs for having this done are paid for by you and me through our on tario government if this creature was a farm animal these people could be charged with cruelty to animals if it were some en dangered species or even a wild animal it would be protected by law as well yet for some unknown reason this particular creature has no legal protection at all and even though it could not be classified in any way as be ing less evolved or less intelligent than any of the animals which do have legal protection it can be abused in every imaginable way in canada this creature has less protection than a tree in our national parks indeed it has no protection at all even those who cry out for its protection arc vilified by the yuppyminded social trend setters of our day our politicians go out of their way to avoid even speaking about it without doubt this creature is the most helpless most innocen yet most victimized in our country this creature is called an un born baby sharon middlelon gormlcy
