dorothy farmed on the second concession here for many years prior to their retire ment in port perry several years ago bruce had been in poor health for several years and passed away on saturday evening at the port perry hospital son larry and daughter glenda both live in seagrave the funeral is to be held today in the scugog memo rial funeral chapel port perry about 25 ladies attended the miscellaneous shower luncheon last sunday afternoon with mrs joanne harmon of goodwood as hostess they were gathered to honor miss lisa harmon a july bride- tobe lisa is the daughter of mer lin and lorraine harmon of good wood and she will be married in the village july 23 bob and betty james now of cannington were honored by their families saturday both were celebrating their june birth days at 60 years the reception was held at the home of their daughter shelley and paul marshman in canning- ton the families and many friends from this area enjoyed a pleasant afternoon together a family dinner in the evening completed a memorable day many more happy years of life together is wished for this ami able couple it was encouraging to receive a note last week from one of the goodwood
