or present in a capsule form and is left in the wild both the bait and the vaccine is then consumed by passing animals in february a test of the program was carried out in remote bush areas of huron county about 20000 hamburger baits containing small quan- titi ties of a marking agent were dropped by aircraft the marking agent leaves goldenyellow lines on the teeth of animals which have consumed the bait this fall a second trialrun of the drugged bait program was carried out in the wingham owen sound area once again an aircraft was used to drop the bait into the heavily wooded area local hunters and trappers are assisting the program by turning over captured foxes and skunks to the rabies unit of the ministrys wildlife research station at maple the results of the trials have shown
