j l toe tribune thursday june 12 1 athletes under fire stouffville in hi after dinner speech at the stouffville high school awards night last thursday evening teacher jim bebill painted a rather bleak outlook for interschool sports he said with teacher enrolment decreasing it is becoming more and more difficult to find coaches for the increasing number of sports being made available to students although ue at s dss are rather fortunate compared to some in this respect athletes themselves did not escape from his fire in all my ears in sport i have never seen so many disqualified athletes caught cheating in basketball the number of players thrown off court is at an all time high the athletes will have to reconsider their attitude towards their own particular sport if they wish to continue in it he concluded in addition to the awarding of team bars and awards there were a large number of in dividual awards this years top athletes are peggy mc- bride and dave dart both have been actively engaged in many bran ches of sport this year and were obviously a popular choice as far as the students were con cerned individual awards were as follows cross country team out standing girl
