newmarket and district air cadet squadron for abut 14 years hes a lieutenant in the air force reserve lieut kingsley acquired his knowledge in active service during the second world war he was an observer in a bomber his plane an old halifax was shot down in a raid over germany he parachuted to safety and into the hands of the enemy he spent 22 months as a prisoner of war getting involved with the cadets was quite by accident when mr kingsley moved to stouffville the former commanding officer al johnson discovered he was a veteran and ap proached him ive been at it ever since mr kingsley said bill kingsley is a volunteer as are all cadet leaders he explained he enjoys working with the other officers and dealing with the kids he finds satisfaction in helping cadets both learn and cope with their in dividual problems not only do the cadets learn flying skills navigation and aero engine mechanics but according to mr kingsley they are trained to be good citizens this is actually the
