a list of bowling scores boxing club organizer dwight sleigh left applies some vaseline to the face of club v member bui budd in preparation of a few rounds of sparring the vaseline helps the glove slide across the face thereby reducing the chances of a cut the club set up by dwight is ready to go but is being held up because of a lack of an appropriate location boxing club needs help looking for location by keith bolender for the past few months dwight sleigh has been on the ropes wondering if his plans for a stouffviue boxing club will ever get off the ground dwight a resident of stouffviue for two years has been trying to get the club going since june the problem is not one of response he already has 12 youngsters ready to go but one of location i havent been able to find a suitable hall home or building yet ive got everything else except for some place to train and box dwight lamented hesbeen to council and to the area school but with no success the schools all say its just impossible to let me set up there because of all their other activities i need a place where i can have it on a regular schedule he did admit however that council was a little more helpful as they offered him a building in vandorf unfortunately i had to turn it down because of travel problems so now dwight is operating out of his basement using his equipment whenever the kids want to come over and work out which they do often so far its been mainly weight training for the kids as dwight is hesitant to start them sparring until he has a proper setup the club is made up mainly of the boys dwight coached on his bantam baseball team this sunrmer besides the ball team he will be coaching the midget juvenile hockey club this winter dwight himself was once a proficient boxer winning two golden glove titles in the seven years he fought in the light welterweight division he was boxing out of st johns new brunswick his interest in the sport never waned as evident by the time and trouble hes spent so far its the kids that keep my interest going theyre all so en thusiastic im doing this for the kids to have someplace to go and something to do thats why its so frustrating that i cant find a place yet his plans for a wintario grant have also been held up until i find a place i cant do a thing the interest in the club is definitely here now i just need a little help in finding a place dwight who says the club will be open to anyone who wants to work out or get in some sparring realized he cant wait forever for a location ill just take it as it comes i dont know what junior
