shows off his shooting style at the power skating course held sunday mornings the course has been a good suc cess with nearly every skater lowering his times the course teaches technique and strength in skating the power skating session has passed the midway mark and the skaters efforts have resulted in their clocked skating times being markedly reduced nearly all skaters reduced their times the reductions being most noticeable among our young first year skaters in the 89 am session the skaters showing the most improvement are cable baker 5 yrs first time 26 sec second time 10 sec craig stronach 6 yrs first time 20 sec second time ta sec brian bichener 5 yrs first time 21 sec second time 10 sec and greg evans 5 yrs first time 20 sec second time 13 sec thats a total reduction of 46v4 seconds our skaters in the 9- 10 a m session have worked very hard to make reductions in their times the most im proved skaters in this session are ronald gibson russell beaton and vince tolton all reducing their times from 6 sec to 4 sec our professional instructor kathy snazel is well pleased with the progress being made but- points out that even further effort will be required to further reduce times lets go it is obvious that the stouffviue power skating program has proven itself to be successful and the skaters are enjoying themselves inspite of the hard work novice beaten by bay
