90th birthday no exception it snowed stouffville winter always sets in on my birthday sarah sadie lunau told the tribune and last friday the occasion of her 90th birthday proved no ex ception mrs lunau of the elm rd senior citizens apartments entertained friends and relatives while the first snowfall of the year drifted slowly to the ground at 90 she retains a strong sense of humour although she is somewhat hard of hearing she is still mobile and goes shopping every week with her daughter joy byer who shares her apart ment mrs lunau was born on a farm in east york on don mills rd just south of memorial cemetery her husband william now deceased came from the markham area and the couple lived at mount albert for several years before moving to jacksons point where they ran a store mrs lunau stayed there for 30 years before moving to stouffville three years ago her daughter mary lantner lives on glad park ave in town another daughter lives in peterborough and a son in toronto mrs lunau said she was an only child and consequently i didnt have anybody to scrap with she feels the old days were better because although people worked harder at least jobs were available for young people in her opinion people also ate better because they did their own baking and bought less prepared foods florence redshaw 88 a lifelong friend and now a neighbour was one of the visitors sadie
