the budget was 250000 and the funds feu short of the goal by 64000 sandra beatie chairman of public realtions said that although the budget has almost doubled at 400000 we expect much better results than last year this year we have a much more organized campaign charles boyd campaign chairman has accepted the challenge of raising the funds we are an infant fund with 14 agencies in serious financial need and we are going to campaign aggressively to raise this goal said mr boyd mr boyd said that as far as he knows this is the highest operating budget john stevenson president of the board of directors said we realize that 400000 is a large amount to raise but we know that the agen cies will be in a deficit position unless we do raise it we are confident that the people in our region will support the social and health care services provided by the participating agen- ciesmetro region has offered to donate 14 per cent of whatever is raised by york region the campaign starts
