who celebrated her 80th birth day on sunday july 3rd mrs mclean beautiful in a long green gown received over 80 guests including a 90yearbld sister from beamsville at her home in greenwood relatives neal of daremont passed away suddenly at blind river hospital on june 20th miss neal attended daremont public school later she attended and graduated from ontario bible college in 1942 volunteering to help with the canadian sunday school mission she taught vacation bible schools in the thunder bay district two sum mers then she was appointed to go to sault ste marie to begin sunday school work among the children in the rural areas for 33 years mary faithfully travelled thousands of miles to country schools con ducting vacation bible schools and organizing and conducting sunday schools in areas and communities without churches during the school term september to june she taught religious education regularly- to over 150 classes at her retirement a year ago she was highly honoured by pupils teachers principals and superintendents of education for her con tribution to thousands of pupils mary also began a summer camp for boys and girls pitching tents on st josephs island in 1951 the site was moved to blind river at galilean bible camp she directed for a month each summer until 1976 when howard mcleod one of her former campers became her successor although retired she still
