great grandchildren couples key to marriage there have certainly been many activities both inside and out of the home during this last week being senior citizens week in stouf fville those of our residents who are shutins were visited last monday by various persons from the com munity and each given a rose wednesday saw open house at parkview with quite a number of people from the community visiting for the tea talent afternoon which was a huge success mrs wilker composed a song and mrs bernice ricker sang it to the tune of golway bay lome baker accompanied on the organ and then played several pieces himself mrs foster originally from scotland sang a song and mr whittamore mrs crosby both recited mrs crosby also gave a rug demonstration and mrs ricker read a poem composed by mrs hyslop everyone welcomed the tea and cookies afterwards arlene holden and beth breckon carl rose transported about a dozen of the residents to the stouffville park on friday for the ice cream strawberry festival everc- had just about finished eating when they were rained back to parkview mr mrs j nighswander took some of the residents to the green gables nursing home on saturday af ternoon for their strawberry tea which again was very well at tended and enjoyed by all who participated tie worship service for the the seniors of stouffville and district drew the week to a close this service was held at parkview on sunday afternoon with rev john hamilton leading the program and rev o i jeffrey as guest speaker jess pike was the guest soloist for the service we were glad to have mr francis and his wife marjorie are well qualified to speak on the subject since they were celebrating the soth anniversary of their long and happy marriage last saturday george francis came to
